Artist Statement

We create dimensions in which color, light and line can interact. In these spaces, a playful pulse is captured to bring together the vibrancy of light in motion with form. A collection of raw images is derived from photographing active light during our travels. From street lights in rural communities to marquees, signage and rush hour traffic in large metropolitan areas, we seize these moments. Through layering and manipulation, compositions are developed until a strike in balance takes hold. In this process, we construct a matrix of lines and forms, resulting in a sort of structured chaos through which we navigate. There is an allure in the chance happenings of linear elements colliding with one another in their own unique landscape.
